Welcome to the Shreveport/Bossier Linux Users Group Wiki Site. Please help us by adding content to this site by signing up for an account and editing or adding content.

The Santa Barbara Linux Users Group is located at http://www.sblug.com.

Background

The Shreveport/Bossier Linux users group was established in 1998 to allow local users of GNU/Linux to come together to share knowledge and get help with Linux related problems. Serving not only Shreveport and Bossier City, but the surrounding Ark-La-Tex as well, we also discuss general issues involving technology growth, implementation, and deployment. Our website has had many past designs, but this one is the best because the users can directly edit the content.

Meetings

Our last meeting was February 5th, 2005. More information is available on upcoming meetings on the Current events page.

What would you like to see covered at the next meeting? If you would be willing to give a presentation on a topic you know a little about, or you have a suggestion for a topic, please add it to the Meeting Suggestions page.

We have a large mailing list membership, and we try to meet on a fairly regular basis for meetings. There is no set schedule for these meetings, as they are arranged around the availability of a meeting place and prospective attendees' schedules. Please subscribe to the mailing list to read the latest discussion and find out about meetings. The meetings should also be posted to this site.
